IT ALL STARTED WHEN…

Abbas previously served as Partner and Deputy Chairman of BDO Public Accountants (Bahrain, Qatar and Oman).  Abbas has more than 30 years of experience in auditing major public and private sector organizations including some of the largest organizations in Bahrain.  Abbas has also gained significant experience working in various parts of the GCC and internationally (including the USA and the UK).   

His clients include some of the largest institutions in financial services sector, government organizations, large business houses, family business, oil and gas as well as tourism industry. 

Abbas also continues to play a key role in the development of the accounting and auditing profession in the Kingdom of Bahrain.  He is a member of several institutions s sits on the board of several of these.  Abbas played a leading role in contributing to the Corporate Governance Code of the Kingdom of Bahrain.  

Through his development and business activities, Abbas has registered a number of new international companies in Bahrain and the Gulf and has attracted a number of new businesses to Bahrain. 

Abbas is licensed to practice the accounting profession in Bahrain, Oman and Qatar well as in California, USA and legal profession in GCC countries. 

He is presently the Chairman of the Bahrain Accountants Association, Member of National Committee on Corporate Governance, Legal Committee – Bahrain Chamber of Commerce, Supreme Council for Vocational Training, External Advisory Board, College of Business & Finance, Al Ahlia University Oversight Board of Ahlia University and GCC Artibration Centre and Board Trustee of the Arab Institute of Public Accountants.
